1st Weekend in the US

Just spent my first weekend in the USA and it was a real eventful one. After a week long of torturous admin stuff, I finally had time to have some fun. For a start, I did the most grocery shopping in my entire life with trips down to Publix and Farmers Market. The size of these supermarts makes carrefour seem like a Mama Shop and their variety of items makes u spoilt for choice, adding difficulty to my already difficult shopping trip..ahahha....The things were generally ex though, making me think thrice b4 buying anything and it was fun hunting for the cheapest canned food in Atlanta. =p A trip down to Chinatown rounded up my grocery experience and a taste of Chinese food there reminded me of home. I learnt to appreciate food back home much more now, even if it is just a simple bowl of fishball noodles or a plate of under-rated chicken rice. Shit, cant tok abt these things..arghh...I am hungry already...had canned food n bread for dinner..how pathetic...=(

Ok enough of grocery shopping, I will refrain from going to the supermart for at least 2 weeks? hmm that is if my supplies last. The eye-opener of the weekend would undoubtedly be the College Basketball match between Virginia and Georgia Tech. The indoor stadium and the basketball court was already magnificent enough but the fanatic fans make the atmosphere absolutely charged up. It was almost like an NBA match, with cheerleading, mascots, commentators and even live replays on big TV screens. Though it was tiring standing up all the time watching cos no one sits down and watch it..haha..but it showed the spirit and pride of the fans. It was almost like a religion for them, except that the language used by them was abit errr....ok shall not mention it here..haha *censored*....in the end we thrashed Virginia by a large margin...one that I lost count...Georgia Tech was really that good...esp the point guard...the 3 pointers were like free-of-charge. Go Jackets Go!!! haha

So many stories to talk abt but I dun tink have time to share all so u all juz refer to the photos k. E weekend was rounded up by a Sunday morning soccer session. It was played on Astro Turf..haha the best turf I ever played on. A great morning workout after all the pizzas, pastas, burgers and fries I have eaten over the past week. It was tiring but fun though playing with my "brothers"....and guess me lao liao..haha play a while already panting like I just ran a marathon. Guess have to workout in the gym more liao..hee

Just also heard that Kallang had their first tuition and intro to student session. Glad everithing went on smoothly and 3 cheers to Lilian, Hx and Kj for leading e juniors.... Thanks for standing in for me and dun worrie...will buy at least a key chain for u all k....oops....hee...eh u all dun tink key chain veri cheap hor....everithing here is damn ex lor...ok la...will buy something better when I goin back k.

Ok enough blogging..haiz...sch starts in a few hrs time...going to have my first lesson in the US..hopefully it will be a good experience and a fun one....but I am goin to have one hell of a time getting my way ard tmr with the campus being so big...k gtg...byeee...take care everibody in Spore...
