Vineyard Visit && FIREWORKS!!!
Day 2 of North Carolina Ski Trip:
Physical Energy: 25%
Fatigue: 100%
Hunger for sight-seeing: 100%
Mental over physical == More sightseeing of course =)
Being typical Kiasu Singaporeans, we will never waste time when it comes to having more fun. After a night's stay at a chalet-like lodge with a fireplace, (haha I can see envious faces) we continued our drive to Childress Vineyard. Sadly, it was winter and we din get to see any beautiful grapes but we did get to do wine tasting though. We also had an enriching tour round the vineyard where we were shown the various processes of making/storing wine. The premises were simply posh, with walkways flanked by original oil paintings and chandlers litting up the European style buildings. Not surprising since the owner is super rich. Boy I want to own one of these next time...with my own signature KM wines...ooops...day dreaming again...but then again nothing's impossible.
Things you cant do in SPore includes setting off fireworks..but definitely not something illegal in North Carolina...being more and more adventurous we swerved off the highway on sight of a Fireworks Warehouse. It claims to be the largest in the world and boy when I was in there, I only hoped nothing went off accidentally. haha.
Courtesy of the helpful sales person at the warehouse, we bought the best fireworks that warehouse got to offer. Still got a few freebies from the person...he was really nice...but of course we were nice too..hahha...
Setting off the fireworks brought this trip to a high. Taking turns to light the fuse, videos were taken to signify everyone got their turn. It was like making a war movie, with the camera shaking violently once the fuse started to burn. We basically lit up the dark skies with our fireworks. Though not as spectecular as NDP, the kick of setting it off yourself beats watching it off your TV screens.
Visual effects: 100 marks
Sound effects: 100 marks
The fireworks videos simply deserve an Oscar. haha...abit bhb but honestly they were really well taken.
Just like NDP, the fireworks signified the end of the trip and we proceeded on with our weekly grocery shopping....haha....what's new...
Only sad point of the NC trip: NO KC....
